A poem to Matthew from Maria

"To MM

You did not consider doing anything else
and drank your pain
by performing it out remarkably.

You felt happiest doing plays
stepping in the skin of others
working out your own hidden nature.

Dark horse...
crying in your father's den
and questioning why did you stay?...

Eating sweet breakfast plums
without prejudice or pride
you dropped tears of agony
in a long, turbulent journey to happiness.

You were warrior
and battled for boundless causes
of perfect strangers on the road
to the way you live now...

Spying out the streets of London
you found a deeper project
heading to wed a bright star.

Henry, the king in you, emerged
matching pain and itch
'till today...

You have remained loyal
to your innermost thoughts
locked in Middletown
to witness death, at a funeral.

No, you do not laugh a lot
in your secret life.
Do you meet their childhood nigtmares?

Please, do bless us with essential poems
again and again
life awards may they be
to us,
incendiary roles,
performances beyond national borders,
but most of all
fill us with the depth of your loving true being.

No, you won't change
Your sincere sapphire eyes
pave the road to loyality.

'cause you are still you,
the young man
who did not consider doing
anything else..."

Thanks and love from
