With Incendiary, we had very little time and money for formal rehearsal, just 3 days in a room with lots of coffee. But I had spent time out with Michelle and Ewan and Matthew, chatting informally about their characters.

How can actors impress you when auditioning for your films? Can you give us some examples of the kinds of actors you like to work with?

If they’re men, I like them to strip down to a g-string and do a pole dance for me.
