KEELEY Hawes really is getting into the 80s revival - she even thinks her hubby looks magnificent with a mullet.

The Ashes To Ashes star admits her actor hubby looks 'incredibly handsome' with the short-on-top long-at-the-back hair don't.

Mathew Macfadyen, who Keeley met on the set of Spooks, hasn't had a fight with a crimper and lost - he's had to don the barnet for an appearance he makes in the time travelling cop show.

But far from turn Keeley off she admits he wore it well.

Keeley, who plays DI Alex Drake in the BBC One show, said: "I am quite capable of loving a man with a mullet.

"My husband has a role in one episode of Ashes To Ashes, and wears the most ridiculous mullet. It's more a case of the mullet wearing him."

She added: "But he still looked incredibly handsome."

Matthew pops up in one of the later editions of the brilliant show which airs on Thursday nights at 9pm.

And his mulleted character is in good company.

Even Brad Pitt and George Clooney had mullets back in the day!
